Chapter 1 Flobberworms
The Flobberworm is a ten-inch, toothless brown worm which eats vegetation, especially lettuce and cabbage. It is a harmless creature, with only a low ranking marking 'X' from the Ministry of Magic Classification.
Each end is identical to the other, and from both it exudes mucus. It moves very little and prefers to live in damp ditches. As flobberworms do not have teeth, it is impossible to get bite marks from it.
They are unable to control the amount of food they need, and if overfed they will die. Flobberworm mucus is green and sticky and is used to thicken potions, it is also a vital ingredient in the Wiggenweld potion.

Chapter 2 Unicorns
Unicorn foals are pure gold, and turn silver when they are about two years old. They grow their horn at around four. At about seven years old, they are fully grown and turn into a shade of white that is so bright it makes snow look grey in comparison. Their hooves are golden, and their blood is silver-blue in colour and shines under the moonlight.
Unicorns inhabit the forests of Europe, including the Forbidden Forest by Hogwarts. They prefer the touch of a woman, but the foals are more trusting and do not mind men as much. Unicorns are also fleet-of-hood that they can rarely be caught by humans. The unicorn's single straight horn is used, in runic, to symbolise the number one.
Various parts of the Unicorn - the horn and tail hair in particular - are used in potions and for the cores of wands, respectively. Also, the tail and mane hair and the horn can be used in various potions. The tail hair can also be used as binding in bandages due to its incredible strength. The blood of a unicorn can be used to keep a person who is near death alive, but 'You will have but a half-life, a cursed life, from the moment the blood touches your lips'.

Chapter 3 Salamander
The Salamander is a small fire dwelling lizard, that feeds on flames. They are born out of flames, and appear to be blue or red depending on the heat of the flames. They live as long as the flames that spawned them.
The Salamander is able to live outside of the flame that birthed it for up to six hours if fed on pepper. Salamander blood has powerful regenerative and curative properties. Muggle world salamanders are amphibians, not lizards, and have no affinity to fire. It's unknown if Salamanders can shed their skin like Muggle world salamanders.
There are different types of salamanders, such as the blue and scarlet variety. The maximum number of hours a salamander can survive out of fire and the amount of legs most salamanders have is used in the runic alphabet to represent the number six.
Scale root is an illness that can effect salamanders. The cure of this is to rub chilli powder on them, if the scale rot is left untreated, it can cause a salamander's tail to detach.
Chapter 4 Bowtruckle
The Bowtruckle is immensely difficult to spot, being a hand-sized insect eating, tree dweller with long sharp fingers (two on each hand), brown eyes, and a general appearance of a flat-faced little stickman made of bark and twigs, which serves as camouflage in its natural habitat.
The Bowtruckle can be found in western England, southern Germany, and certain Scandinavian forests. A Bowtruckle serves as a tree guardian for its home tree, which is usually a tree whose wood makes wands (such as Wiggentree). The twig-like fingers are well adapted for digging out wood lice in trees, and can also be used as a weapon against a foe when aimed at the eyes. It is generally a peaceful creature, but will become violent if anything threatens its tree, or even to itself. To take leaves or wood from a Bowtruckle's tree, one would have to offer it woodlice or fairy eggs as a distraction.
